As we quickly come to the close of May, we don’t want to overlook another important event. As believers, we celebrate Pentecost Sunday this weekend. Unlike Christmas and Easter, this day often passes with such little emphasis that there is a good chance we do not think about the significance of what happened when the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts chapter two.
Donald Gee wrote, “A scriptural baptism of the Holy Spirit not only brings the Divine Fullness into our own hearts, it also results in the ability to pass on, either consciously or unconsciously, and overflow of blessing to others.” We can see that Pentecost’s purpose is to increase our capacity for God to work through us to bring blessings to others. We become vessels of God’s life and God’s power, allowing the Holy Spirit to pour out of us what God desires. As a result, God touches people through us, God’s will is accomplished, and God is glorified.
We want to thank you, again, for supporting GCIM as we continue to teach and train believers concerning this divine, supernatural experience referred to as the “Baptism with the Holy Spirit.” This message and so many others are of vital importance to live out and share in these days, and your partnership helps to make that possible.
Don’t forget about our free audio resource: “The Benefit of Speaking in Other Tongues”. Speaking in other tongues is a gift meant to impact the spiritual life of every believer. Be encouraged in this teaching why you should make this a daily practice in your life! Access this and all our free downloads here.
