Reigniting the Fires of Prayer

In 2020, GCIM began leading prayer conferences both in the States and with groups overseas. Our focus in these conferences has been, and will continue to be, to reignite a prayer movement within the local church to help facilitate a move of God’s Spirit in cities and nations. At these conferences, we discuss the importance and need for various kinds of prayer, specifically intercession and supplication. Our goal is to help people experience a dynamic and powerful prayer life through teaching and application.
Reigniting the Fires of Prayer is a two-part teaching taken from one of those conferences. We discuss how to develop a powerful and effective prayer life. We also look more in-depth at the prayers of supplication and intercession and the impact of those prayers on our society and governments.
As John Wesley said, “It seems that God is limited by the prayers of His people, that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him.” In this prayer series, we address this statement and demonstrate, from God’s Word, the reasons prayers do not work—and how to make the adjustments needed for effective prayer.
Let me encourage you to listen to this series and to share this teaching with others. I believe it is imperative for the church to understand this subject and to put into practice the type of prayer that changes things and produces effective results.
