After a full but wonderful final weekend in Norway, Connie and I are back in the States and grateful for the wonderful experiences we had this trip. As we shared in an earlier post, our first weekend was spent teaching at the RHEMA Bible Training College campus in Bergen. During our last few days in the country, however, Connie and I had the opportunity to minister at Connections Church, also located near Bergen, Norway. We shared at multiple services, including a three-day seminar, a youth service and a Sunday morning service. All the services were well attended, and many testimonies were shared about how the ministry of the word impacted their lives.
I taught on a variety of subjects, but the one thing that was commented on by people the most was regarding what I shared about the finished work of Christ. I took some extended time explaining what the plan of redemption involved — the virgin birth, the life and ministry of Jesus, the death on the cross, his suffering for three days and nights in the heart of the earth, the resurrection, the ascension, Jesus entering into the heavenly holy of holies to place his blood there, and ultimately Jesus’ seating at the right hand of the heavenly Father. Christians tend to focus on only one aspect of the redemptive work of Christ, however, every one of these things was necessary for the plan of redemption to be complete. This was a fresh perspective that helped many who heard.
On the previous Sunday service, I shared on the subject of healing at the Lord’s table. After brining forth the Word, there was a tangible healing anointing as both Connie and I laid hands on many people to receive healing. We are always grateful for opportunities to be used by the Lord in such ways to minister to His people.
Every aspect of our trip to Norway was fruitful and we believe will have multiplied impact in the lives that received from our time there. We would like to thank Pastors Rune and Siri Tysse and their staff for being such wonderful hosts to us during our stay in Norway! And as always, our partners and friends are what make trips like these possible, so special thanks to you as well!
